Denison Real Estate and Home Guide

Denison has been the Gateway to Texas since the first train chugged across the Red River almost 140 years ago.  The area attracted hearty people looking for a better place for themselves and their families.  The first Denison Real Estate market occurred in 1872 when the first lots were auctioned.  The city has continued to grow into the well-rounded community it is today where families can enjoy a safe and friendly environment.  Denison’s residents are dedicated to preserving the town’s great heritage.  The first settlers were all connected to the railroad in some way and today, the Red River Railroad Museum has preserved much of Denison’s railroad heritage. In Grayson County Frontier Village you can step back in time and get a peek of the early Denison Real Estate Market where over 20 homes and buildings have been restored to their original design.

President Eisenhower was born in Denison so it is no surprise that the Eisenhower State Park is located in Denison along the banks of Lake Texoma near the Denison Dam.  Open all year, Eisenhower State Park offers visitors a safe and secure outdoor experience.   In the 1990s, Denison began attracting artists to its Main Street district.  Artists settled into many of the 19th century building along Main Street and converted them into art galleries and artist’s studios.  The Denison Arts Council promotes two Fine Art Tours each year to showcase the growing talent of the area.
